My little A-ha!

Happy Monday!

Said no one ever!

I hope you had a great weekend! I wanted to share our weekend, and a little A-ha moment I had.

It seems like we eat out every meal but breakfast on the weekends, so I wanted to have a nice home cooked dinner on Friday. I made spaghetti and meatballs, and a spaghetti squash for myself. It was REALLY good. I can’t wait to share this recipe with you all this week!

Saturday morning we hit the ground running! 8:00am Baseball game, 10:00 Cardio session, and a 12:00pm Tball game. The little guy couldn’t quite hang by the end!

Every year, our kids’ school has a fundraiser and auction. One of the the auction packages was a tour of our local fire department, and dinner with the fire men. I was a little disappointed when it turned out to be a family event, and the “firemen” weren’t really strippers, but I guess this was fun too : )

Just kidding! The kids had the time of their lives!

They made us the traditional San Diego Fire Department meal; a taco salad.

And let me tell you, it was SO good. I will definitely be making this for the family in the future! They grilled up hot dogs for the kiddos.

Sunday we had a birthday party, and some errands to run. Just so you know, I did NOT touch 1 single donut. And can we take a minute and look at these balloons. I mean, is this guy some sort of balloon wizard?  I’m in total awe, and a maybe little freaked out by that creepy face on Luke Skywalker.

This weekend was jam packed with kid’s activities, and a few weeks ago I would have easily blown of the gym, and my diet (those donuts!) because it would be such an easy excuse. But here’s the weirdest thing.

I didn’t and I WANTED to go to the gym!

I was actually looking forward to it and made sure to carve out time for it this weekend. Who am I?

I may or may not have mentioned to everyone at tball:  “Yea, I just worked out.”

I was so proud of myself! I am taking this journey one day at a time, and today I feel great!

Until next time.
